I’m a writer and yoga teacher committed to creating a compassionate and ecologically vibrant world. I live in the Cross Timbers and Prairies ecoregion of North Texas, where I work as a gardener.

Outside of this newsletter, my work can be found in Hobart, Plates Journal, and Peaxdunque Review, among others. I hold an MFA in Creative Writing from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago and am a 2023 Writers League of Texas Fellow. As a former kayak-tour guide, I am writing a book of personal essays about forging and nurturing relationships with waterways.

Why subscribe?

Each letter is an essay is an offering. I write here most Fridays about practicing creativity and spirituality, writing and yoga, gardening and place, among other things. While my offerings may vacillate in topic, they gravitate together by a commitment to connection, empathy, and the human spirit. My goal with this platform is to, as Rumi advises in Letters to a Young Poet, “live the questions now,” and to include you, dear reader, in that living. My hope is that we may meet - two solitudes - in the intimacy and connection of words.
